Jury procedures for new entrants

  1.   Submit four color slides/photos/digital images representative of your work, and one of your display (if available).  If two artists share a site, each must submit the required slides/photos.  Artists displaying more than one media MUST submit slides/photos/digital images of each media. Artists with questionable items may be asked to remove them to protect the integrity of the show. 

2.   Send your slides(etc.), complete with a brief description of each work pictured, with entry fees and a SASE for return of your slides/photos/digital images (with sufficient postage) only if you do NOT give permission for your slides(etc.) to be used for publicity.

  3. All work must be ORIGINAL or prints of originals and DISPLAY AN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL OF SKILL AND CREATIVITY as determined by our independent jurors. No imports, kits, items made from kits or items using commercial patterns will be accepted. While we recognize artists may need a variety of price levels, sites should contain less than 30% of the lesser-priced items to protect the show's quality.

Exhibiting

Art Showcase runs 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Artists must supply display equipment, including tents.  This is an outdoor show, with 12’ by 12’ sites on grass or the street (pavement).

REFUNDS: HALF-PRICE AFTER JURYING THROUGH JULY 2 , none after July 25.

WAIVERS:  The City of Elgin requires a signed waiver from EACH artist exhibiting.
